So it looks like either my reverse page-hijacking did the trick, or it just fixed itself automagically. I may never know for sure.
In other news, jenChat got a long overdue facelift. Fixed a few minor bugs/issues with the code and added a bit more to the documentation. Now there are a bunch of tips on how to use jenChat in a live environment.
